Mr. Fote was born in Miami, Florida. In 1983, he graduated with Highest Distinction from Cornell University, with a Bachelor's Degree in Government and History. He thereafter earned his Juris Doctorate degree in 1986 from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he also served as Associate Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review. In 1987, he was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Bar of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
Mr. Fote is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the Italian-American Bar Association, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. His publications include Child Witnesses in Sexual Abuse Proceedings - Their Capabilities, Special Problems, and Proposals for Reform, Pepperdine Law Review, Vol. 13, No. 1 (1985). His published Appellate Court decisions include Collett v. Insurance Company of the West, 64 Cal. App. 4th 338 (1998).
Mr. Fote specializes in insurance coverage and related litigation (including comprehensive general liability, errors and omissions, all-risk, automobile, commercial earthquake, life, health, and disability), advertising and media injury, bad faith litigation, professional liability, products liability, catastrophic injury, appellate law, reinsurance analysis and litigation. He has trial, appellate, arbitration and mediation experience.
