Ms. Housman was born in Poughkeepsie, New York. In 1980, she earned her bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where she was also conferred Dean's List honors. Following a prestigious internship at the Capital in Washington, D.C., she attended Pepperdine University School of Law, where she earned her juris doctorate degree in 1984. In 1985, she was admitted to the State Bar of California and the Bar of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California.
She is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute, and the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel. Her published articles include A Profile of Wrongful Termination, The Interpreter (Dec. 1988).
She specializes in employment litigation, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, bias/discrimination claims, products liability, insurance coverage, bad faith litigation and construction litigation . She has tried numerous jury trials to final verdict.
