Business Litigation

We represent clients in actions where the focus is the breach of a contract, agreement, or other instrument in writing. We also handle matters involving claims of fraud, conversion, breach of fiduciary duty, interference with prospective or existing economic relationship, spoliation of evidence, and tortious breach of contract. In many of these cases, we are also defending clients against claims for the recovery of punitive and exemplary damages.

A sub-specialty of our business practice is our representation of insurance premium finance companies. We are exceptionally familiar with California's complex industrial loan and insurance premium finance laws, which regulate lending institutions that are engaged in the business of financing insurance premiums.

We also provide assistance to business owners in the process of incorporating their businesses. Once formed, we offer additional services as general or outside legal counsel.

Entertainment Litigationy

We represent individuals and businesses involving entertainment related matters, including lawsuits and other types of claims brought in the entertainment field by actors, singers, songwriters, and other celebrity figures in California’s vast and significant entertainment industry. The cases involve frequently royalty disputes, contract breaches and piracy issues. Because of the personal nature of such matters, we are acutely aware of our clients’ concerns for privacy. We therefore strive to provide unparalleled personal attention to our clients, yielding both confidence and the foundation for success-oriented results.

Employment Litigation

We represent employers and businesses in claims involving wrongful termination, retaliation, and sexual harassment, as well as race, gender, sex, age, and disability discrimination. Our lawyers regularly counsel clients on rapidly changing developments in employment laws, and provide educational claim-prevention training seminars. We also prepare employee handbooks that extensively detail the employer-employee relationship. These handbooks, which we customize to each particular client's business needs, have proven to be an effective tool in both preventing and defending the majority of employment-related claims.
